Today feels like summer… and tomorrow we’re right back to cold weather like this

Not gonna lie though—I kinda love sessions in this kind of weather. Cozy, close, and way more excuses to cuddle up like these two

Sometimes families think the photo stage is over once the kids get older.

But honestly… this season might be one of the most meaningful ones to photograph.

Teenagers grow into who they’re becoming.
Moms get to step into the photo instead of standing behind the camera.
And when grandma joins, it becomes something even more special.

These are the photos that end up framed on walls and passed down years later.

Generational photos like this always remind me how important it is to capture families exactly as they are right now.

No matter the age, every season deserves to be remembered.

There is always one photo from every session that gets me.

Not the perfectly posed one.

The one where your daughter is laughing because dad told a bad joke.
The one where your son still holds your hand without thinking.

Those are the photos you frame.

The ones that remind you what life actually felt like in this season.

🇺🇸 Homecoming Photography – Limited Availability 🇺🇸

If you have a loved one coming home soon, first of all… welcome home in advance. Those moments on the pier or flight line are ones you’ll want to remember forever.

As a retired Navy Chief, military homecomings are incredibly meaningful to me. I understand the emotions, the unpredictability, and the importance of capturing the moment without getting in the way.

A few things that make my homecoming sessions a little different:

📸 I only book one family per homecoming.
Your reunion deserves my full attention — I’m there focused entirely on capturing your moment.

⚓ Retired military with base access.
I understand the flow of homecomings, where to be, and how quickly things can change.

🔒 OPSEC aware.
I fully respect operational security and know that dates, times, and plans can shift without notice.

💛 I know what these moments mean.
Having experienced military life myself, I understand the hugs, the tears, the kids running across the pier, and the quiet moments in between.

This Thanksgiving, I made a big decision… one I’ve been going back and forth on for months. I chose to stay home with my kids.

No more rushing every minute.
No more juggling until I drop.
No more feeling torn between the people I love and the work I’m passionate about.

This choice already feels like relief. Like alignment. Like something inside me finally clicked.

And now that I’m home, I’m excited for what that means for my photography too — creating from a place of joy instead of exhaustion, building my business with a clear mind, and finally having the space to grow it the way I’ve always wanted to.

A new chapter started over Thanksgiving… and I can already feel how right it is.”

Lately I’ve been reminded just how quickly the seasons change… and how fast our kids grow right along with them. One minute they’re tiny and the next they’re out here with big personalities, big dreams, and bigger shoes than mine.

If you needed the reminder too: never stop having fun with your kids. Laugh with them, be silly with them, make the memory even if the house is a mess or the day feels chaotic. I needed this reminder for myself just as much as anyone else.

And if you ever want to freeze a little bit of this season, I’d love to help you do that. ❤️📸
