Oh man, I haven't posted over here in over four years. Man, what an accidental time capsule. I lived in a different house, had smaller kids, fewer health issues, and way more time. Also, COVID who? That was a whole other universe!

It's been such a busy summer so far - lots of shooting and not a lot of sharing, but this I had to post. Partly because it's a lovely photo of a gorgeous mama, and partly because that mama is my sister. We've shared a common struggle with fertility, and now we're on the cusp of sharing motherhood, which makes me feel like this image looks. Here's your sneak, Mama, can't wait to finish the rest!!

Facebook never does these sweeping beach shots justice, but this turned out too good to sit on. This couple was sweet and earnest and silly to work with, and near the end of the day - bam! Epic romance =) Here's your sneak peak, Lauren!

You never know what you're gonna get with a January beach session, but the Edsall family don't care - and we got a gorgeous 56 degrees and perfect skies, even with some lingering snow on the dunes! I loved this family's adventurous yet easy-going spirit - I'm so excited to be working with them on one-year package! Sneak peak for Mama =)

I rarely even open a session until I'm done editing the previous one, but this one was special. Two of my favorite people, in one of my favorite shooting locations, sweetly sending up one of my favorite fandoms. I'm dying to get to the rest of these once I finish up my last sessions before the holidays, but if this is the sneak peek, I can't wait to turn the rest of them loose!!

I've worked with the Byrd family for Christmas photos every year of A's life, and every year he struggles with being little on picture day (it's hard to be 2!)...and every year the solution is snuggles with parents and a pile of props and lights. This year we added food to the mix =) Much thanks to Mom and Dad for years of capturing Christmas memories and figuring out just the right trick to make this sweet dude smile a little!

I've still got a couple more sessions to go for the year (not counting getting shooting my own kids' Christmas pictures at some point!), and I'll still be on FB sharing peeks from the sessions I've already booked, but bookings for the year are closed as of today until January 3rd, and I'll be checking FB messages every couple of days so I can focus more on time with family and friends.

Stay tuned in 2018 for booking for playground sessions, and some new ideas I'm working on for the new year to bring unique, fun, one-of-a-kind sessions to families looking for a little more out of picture day.

Guys. These playground sessions. I'm in love with them. The Shahini familiy ended up with *48 degree* weather the day of their session, but, (cheese alert) this little family had so much warmth and joy between them it didn't seem to matter much. This was a fave of all-time session to work on!

I'm going to be opening bookings for Playground Sessions after the holidays - anyone who PMs me for info before Christmas not only gets priority when booking opens, but also gets a $30 print product credit added to their package!!!
