A little appreciation post for the bridesmaids.

The ones helping with dresses, fixing hair, calming nerves, carrying flowers, answering questions, and somehow making everything look effortless.

But more than that, they're the people who have walked through life with the bride long before the wedding day ever arrived.

The photos are beautiful, but what they really represent are years of friendship, support, and memories together.

And that's what makes them so meaningful.

I originally sat down to put together a post of some of my favorite images from the Hammer wedding.

But as I was going through them, I realized I had collected something else entirely.

A handful of different moments that display the multitude of emotion Lauren experienced throughout the day. The excitement. The absolute joy.. The little in-between moments where she could simply take it all in.

That’s one of my favorite things about weddings. The best photos usually aren’t about posing at all—they’re about being fully there and getting to re-experience that moments years later through a photograph.

These guys embraced every part of the day, and I think these images tell that story beautifully.

Getting ready with the almost Mrs. Hammer.

I love this part of the day. Not because it’s flashy, but because it’s usually where everything starts to feel real.

The girls are all together. The dress is finally on. The nerves and excitement are both starting to settle in.

Just a really sweet morning with some of her favorite people before the day fully began.

I love taking a moment for portraits on a wedding day.

A chance to slow down and soak in everything that’s happened or everything that’s about to.

These moments are meant to feel natural and honest so you can look back on this day and remember what it was like to be there during that specific moment in time.

The Tittel Wedding.

Something about the tones and scenery of this day just matched it perfectly.
If you know Jonathan and Jessica at all, then you would know this is their happy place!

What do you value most in your photos?

Maybe you love a beautifully composed portrait.
Maybe it’s the laughing candid moments.
The emotional moments.
The artistic flair.

The images I’ve seen people cherish most 5 or 10 years later are usually the moments they were most connected to while they were living them.

So take a deep breath on your wedding day.
Be with your people. Soak it all in.
I’ll make sure the extras are taken care of.
