Available thru this weekend only.

My friends and family, coyotes and wanderers, city folk and country people,

I have unearthed two lost b-sides that glimpse into the sessions that comprised my album, Safe Passage.

Out of the many songs that were written for the collection in 2018, a handful did not make the cut onto the final version. However, the tunes that were left were not left behind, but archived to be heard down the road and maybe provide a wider perspective on the music we created at Ramble Creek Studio on those beautiful, tiresome, winter days.

Full of Farewells was recorded in one take to 2" magnetic tape with Shonna Tucker performing bass and Megan Palmer playing the fiddle. Having recorded this song a few times before, I believe this one to be the final version. Minimal, calm, and clear as the days were long.

Letters to Larkspur was recorded in the secondary sessions a couple weeks after the initial ventures into Ramble Creek, performed live. David Leach on bass, Bryan McGrath on the drums. Darker, heavier, with an overdubbed pedal steel in an echo chamber.

The tracks will be available for this weekend only, with all proceeds going towards vocal surgery and medical costs in late May.

Thank you again for listening, I’ll be back to singing in no time.

love, jca
