This photo has always been one of my favorites. It even has a fun memory to go with it. 😅

I had only owned my camera for about two weeks, so I binged a ton of YouTube videos on night photography. Thinking I should try it for myself, I set up a tripod across from this theater in downtown North Adams, fumbled around with settings, and finally gave up when it started to snow.

I got in my car and pulled up to the stoplight in front of the building. For some reason I just couldn’t go home with the failed pictures I had taken. I threw the camera on auto exposure and snapped a shot out my car window. That’s the photo you see here. It’s not a technical masterpiece, but I think it’s the best drive-by photograph I’ve ever taken.
