Jess of All Trades offers original visual art by artist, Jessica Furtado, as well as creative assistance for small businesses and fellow artists. Jess has over 15 years of experience as a photographer, and specializes in portraiture, creative flatlays, and capturing the work of artists and small businesses. Jess is also a multi-disciplinary artist with experience in paint pouring, collage, design,
and creative writing. Her broad range of skills makes her a versatile assistant for small business needs on a freelance basis. She enjoys helping businesses and artists tell their stories through authentic photography that shapes and celebrates their brand. She is also experienced with writing catchy, clearly communicated copy, and helping businesses to build and maintain their social media presence. As a children's librarian for several years, Jess garnered a passion for education and creating engaging workshops. She looks forward to developing a variety of creative workshops for all ages in the near future. Some of Jessica's recent credits include a residency at The Switchboard in Haverhill, MA, where she completed "Firsthand: A Portrait Project to Close the Distance" during June 2020, followed by an exhibition of the portraits. This project was highlighted on the front pages of The Eagle Tribune, Haverhill Gazette, and Haverhill Life. Jessica was also commissioned as the designer for the 2021 Haverhill Art Walk season, creating a collection of colorful posters and maps for this event series.
