🌻 Sunflower Mini Session Update! 🌻

I’ve had so many inquiries about sunflower minis this year at the sunflower field in Girard, and I’m so excited to say they’ll be happening again!

This year, the sunflower farm is REQUIRING all photographers to be officially credentialed to photograph on the property. I have already paid the REQUIRED FEE $$$ and am currently in the process of receiving my photographer badge.

As soon as my badge is approved and in hand, I’ll announce the dates I’ll be offering sunflower minis and open booking!

If you’re interested in a session this year, comment below or send me a message, and I’ll make sure to reach out privately as soon as scheduling opens so you can grab a spot before they fill.

⚠️ Photographer friends, please be careful! ⚠️

I’ve been approached by four different scammers just this week, and they all followed almost the exact same pattern.

They’ll inquire about a session, spend a lot of time discussing dates, locations, and all the details, have you draft contracts, and then suddenly become very pushy about payment before you’ve even sent the contract. When it’s finally time to pay, there’s always some sort of “problem” that leads to them asking you to click an email link or use a suspicious payment method.

It’s incredibly frustrating because every one of these conversations takes time away from real clients. Instead of editing galleries or responding to genuine inquiries, I’m stuck investing hours into people who never intended to book.

Trust your instincts. If something feels off, it probably is. Protect your time, verify your clients, and don’t let these scammers steal your energy.

There’s something so special about sessions like this one.

This beautiful family absolutely nailed their outfit coordination, but what I loved most wasn’t the matching colors it was the freedom they gave their kids to simply be kids. Running, playing, climbing, laughing, exploring… those unscripted moments are often where the magic happens.

Some of my favorite images from this session came from letting go of perfect poses and embracing the beautiful chaos that comes with little ones. Because years from now, it’s those genuine smiles, tiny personalities, and carefree moments that tell the real story.

And honestly? I think we captured that story perfectly. 🤍

There’s something so special about getting to watch a family grow, and this sweet crew has truly stolen a piece of my heart. 🤍

From capturing big milestones to welcoming precious baby Lucy into the world, it’s been such an honor to document these moments for them. Watching these proud big siblings love on their newest baby sister was enough to make anyone smile, and baby Lucy was absolutely perfect from start to finish.

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do freezing time for just a little while so families can hold onto these memories forever.

🚀✨ To infinity and beyond! ✨🚀

Landen’s Toy Story-themed birthday session was such a blast! Between the smiles, laughter, and adventures worthy of Andy’s room, this little space ranger completely stole the show. Watching his personality shine through every photo made this session so much fun to capture.

These milestone moments go by far too quickly, and I love being able to freeze a little piece of childhood before the next big adventure begins.

There’s something incredibly beautiful about a mother’s love. 🤍

This session was all about celebrating this amazing mama and the three sweet girls who adore her. Through every hug, giggle, and snuggle, you could feel the bond they share. These moments weren’t about perfection they were about connection, love, and preserving this season of life exactly as it is.

Watching these girls wrap themselves around their mom and seeing the joy on all of their faces was such a privilege to capture. These are the memories that matter most.

This was my second year having the honor of capturing the ICU Survivors Event, and somehow it was even more emotional than the first. 🤍

This event celebrates patients who not only survived their ICU stay, but have gone on to truly thrive and getting to witness those stories is something I don’t think I’ll ever take for granted.

As a respiratory therapist, I work alongside an incredible ICU team every shift. We come in every day to do our jobs, care for our patients, and push through some really hard moments. But events like this are such an important reminder that these patients are so much more than a diagnosis, a room number, or a difficult shift. These are real people, real families, living through some of the hardest days of their lives.

When the survivors stood up and spoke, there truly wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Hearing firsthand what they endured, what they overcame, and seeing them standing there thriving it’s hard to put into words what that does to your heart.

Moments like this humanize healthcare in a way that’s hard to explain. They remind us why we do what we do.

So grateful to have not only witnessed this event again, but to capture these moments and work alongside such an incredible team every day. 🤍 UPMC Retort Reflections Photography
