Yellowstone doesn’t ease you in.

The first thing it does is make you feel small — in the best way. Steam rising out of the ground. Geothermal color you can’t explain to someone who hasn’t seen it. A mountain range that appears without warning when you come around a bend. Crowds of people standing at the edge of something they can’t fully see.

I spent one day in the park. Nowhere near enough.
