Route 66 Centennial Arch, Galena, Kansas, featuring a gorilla statue sitting on top of the yellow overhead truss structure
The arch was created by former Galena mayor Dale Oglesby using salvaged barrel trusses from Joplin's East Middle School gymnasium after it was destroyed in a tornado. The structure was installed to celebrate the Route 66 centennial.

The Historic Phelps School, a Restored One-room Schoolhouse Located Along Historic Route 66, Miller, Missouri
Phelps, a small unincorporated community in Lawrence County, Missouri, sitting along the old alignment of Route 66 (now Missouri Route 96 near Miller). The white wood-frame building served local students as a school from 1888 until 1952.
