To our clients and friends in western Nebraska,
46 years ago, we were two young adults searching for a place to start our photography business. We traveled all over the state visiting different communities and about North Platte just felt right. So we made this city our home. It has proven to be a good decision.
Professionally, through the years Keith has become the most award-winning photographer in the state. His accomplishments are too numerous to list. On a higher level, he was the first person in the world to achieve all 5 professional degrees from our international trade association. There is only one other photographer who has also accomplished this goal. He is one of less than 80 jurors worldwide, approved to judge our national and international competitions.
Personally, our business has supported our family through the years. It has enabled us to send both of our sons to very expensive private colleges. It has allowed us to travel extensively. It has provided us with a comfortable home and lifestyle.
BUT none of this would have been possible without our amazing clients through the years. We were lucky to do something we loved while getting to be a part of people’s families through the years and in many cases through the generations. The only reason portrait photography exists as a profession is because people love each other. It’s a great reason to have a job. It’s been a great life. For that we thank you all.
Now it’s time for us to find a new adventure. So, we are retiring and moving out of state. The studio will be open as usual through September 30th. In October we will be open by appointment only. We will completely fulfill the obligations we have scheduled. If you have portraits still here to pick up or gift certificates to use, please contact us as soon as possible.
As some of you may know, we still have all the negatives and digital files from our very beginning. Anything prior to 2026 is available to purchase at special rates. Negatives from a session are available for $50 or $250 for 5 or more sessions. Digital files are available for $100 or $500 for 5 or more sessions. Portraits created this year or sessions where no previous order was placed are still available at regular studio prices.
