Lately, I’ve been doing what I love most - capturing love stories, celebrating milestones, documenting growing families and preserving memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Along the way, social media has taken a little bit of a backseat… which means I’ve been sitting on so many beautiful galleries that I’m so excited to finally share with you. This sweet first birthday session felt like the perfect place to start.

Capturing my best friend loving her baby in this season of life… while her husband quietly documented me doing what I love most.

Because this is the heart behind every photo I take. Just trying to hold onto the little moments that feel so ordinary right now but won’t stay this way forever. The tiny laughs, the reaching hands, the way our babies still need us like this.

They’re only this little once.

I’m so grateful I get to freeze these fleeting seasons for the people I love most and so thankful for the people in my life who show up and support the love I have for photography too.

Because honestly… friends showing up for each other, supporting each other and preserving each other’s memories along the way - that kind of love means everything to me.

A little football, a little frosting and a whole lot of love 🏈🎂 The sweetest first birthday surrounded by the people cheering her on the loudest. The tiny hands covered in cake, the proud smiles from siblings, the chaos, the laughter… this is the good stuff.

There’s something so bittersweet about watching your baby become their own little person right in front of you. One minute they’re curled up on your chest needing every part of you… and the next they’re picking flowers with their tiny hands and looking at the world with this quiet little wonder in their eyes.

You spend so much of parenthood exhausted, overstimulated, touched out, wondering if you’re doing enough… and then a moment like this happens. The sun hits their hair just right. Their tiny fingers wrap around yours. They look at you like you are home.

And suddenly you realize this version of them is already disappearing while you’re still trying to hold onto it.

I think that’s the hardest part about loving our children so deeply. Every beautiful phase asks us to let go of the last one.

This one felt a little extra close to my heart because so much of the inspiration behind it came from watching the other half of my heart love their little girl through her first year too. Sweet Gracey turning ONE!

This session has my whole heart lately.. more to come ✨

The way she loves him, the way he leans into her… it’s everything I’ve watched from afar… finally right in front of me.

There’s something about having a best friend who lives far away that just… hurts in a quiet way. The time is never enough. The visits are never long enough. But getting to freeze even a few seconds of her life… that means everything to me.

The distance may take the everyday moments but it will never take the way we show up for each other in the ones we do get.
