Stephanie & Tim’s wedding day had the kind of details that made you want to slow down and take it all in. 🌿✨

Spring flowers in soft blues, peaches, and creams showed up in the prettiest little ways throughout the day — from the ceremony florals to the tablescapes and bouquets. They added just the right amount of color against all those deep greens and towering trees.

And then came sunset hour. 😍
That warm, hazy glow. The open fields. The way everything seemed to soften for a few minutes while these two got to simply be together.

Honestly, I could have photographed their sunset portraits all night.

Here’s a little peek at Stephanie & Tim’s day — full of color, quiet moments, and the most beautiful light. 🤍

Ever wonder how I decide which photos make it into your final gallery... and which ones don’t? 👀📸

Because I take more photos than you ultimately receive.

When I’m going through your gallery, I’m looking for the photos that best tell the story of your day or session. I’m choosing the moments with the most genuine emotion, the best expressions, the strongest connection, and, of course, the best overall composition.

If there are five nearly identical photos, you probably don’t need all five. Instead, I’ll choose the one where the smiles are the biggest, the eyes are open, everyone looks their best, or the moment simply feels the most natural.

That doesn’t mean the other photos are bad. Sometimes someone blinked. Sometimes the focus wasn’t quite right. Sometimes it’s simply a duplicate of a moment I’ve already captured.

My goal isn’t to give you every single click of my camera. My goal is to give you a carefully curated collection of the very best moments from your day, the photos that tell your story without making you sort through hundreds of almost-identical images. 🤍

Because at the end of the day, I’d rather give you 50 photos you absolutely love than 200 photos filled with duplicates and near misses.

That’s the art of culling, and it’s a much bigger part of the photography process than most people realize!

A little peek at this sweet new chapter. 🤍

Tiny fingers.
Sleepy snuggles.
A big sister completely in love.
And a whole lot of “how did we get so lucky?” moments.

There’s something so special about photographing a family as they settle into life with their newest little love. The quiet moments, the imperfect moments, the tiny details you’ll someday wish you could remember exactly as they were.

A few favorites from this beautiful newborn session are already making my heart melt. 🥹🤍

Welcome to the world, sweet baby.

It’s Stephanie and Tim’s Wedding Day!!!

If you’ve ever said, “We’re just really awkward in photos…” — I promise, you are not alone. 😂

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands, how to pose, or how to magically become comfortable in front of a camera.

That’s my job.

I want you to spend your wedding day being yourselves—not worrying about whether you’re “doing it right” in front of my camera.

And if you can laugh, hug, dance, and love your person… you’re already giving me everything I need. 🤍

After photographing more than 100 weddings, you might think some of the moments would start to feel routine.

They don't.

I still get excited when the groom sees his bride.

When a dad is trying his hardest not to cry.

When the wedding party completely loses it laughing.

When golden light shows up at exactly the right time.

When a couple forgets I'm standing there and gets completely wrapped up in their own little moment.

And honestly, I still get that little rush when I look at the back of my camera and think...

Yep. That's the one.

Maybe that's how I know I still love what I do.

Because no matter how many weddings I photograph, no two stories are ever the same—and I still get to be trusted with one of the biggest days of someone's life.

And I don't think I'll ever stop thinking that's pretty special. 🤍

Two tiny babies, double the cuddles, and a whole lot of love. 🤍

I got so many cuddles from these two sweethearts yesterday, and my heart was absolutely melting the entire time. There is just something extra special about photographing twins—the tiny details, the sleepy snuggles, and the way they already seem to find comfort in each other.

So thankful I got to spend a little time soaking up all this newborn sweetness. 🥹🤍

With my teacher life starting back up again this week, I thought it was only fitting to share a few things teaching has taught me that actually make me a better wedding photographer. 🤍

Because believe it or not, spending my days in a classroom has prepared me for so much more than just teaching.

✨ Reading the room
✨ Staying calm in chaos
✨ Adapting on the fly
✨ Anticipating what comes next
✨ Communicating clearly
✨ Creating comfort
✨ Building trust
✨ Seeing everyone

Turns out, managing a classroom and photographing a wedding day might have more in common than you'd think. 😂

Both require patience, flexibility, quick thinking, and the ability to handle a little chaos while somehow making it all look effortless.

So here's to another year of wearing both hats—the teacher and the photographer. I'm pretty lucky that the lessons from one get to make me better at the other. ❤️
