For wiring geeks. The more you look, the better it gets.

At first glance it just looks like a standard LED wall wiring diagram, but then you start tracing the signal flow and realize how much subtle problem-solving is packed into it.

* Main and backup Brompton SX40 LED Processor paths are completely separated
* The data routing is color-coded, no need for a legend
* The Absen panel chains are wired in a clean serpentine layout
* The X1/X2 redundancy is readable instantly
* The “Back View” label prevents somebody from wiring the entire wall mirrored
* Power and signal are visually separated
* The Socapex / Powercon placement acts as a grounding point for the drawing

How it started vs How it’s going

Behind-the-scenes photos from Stone Island’s retrospective Frieze LA.

For Selected Works ‘982–‘024 at Frieze Los Angeles, Stone Island presented an archival exhibition covering work from its founding in 1982. The exhibition took place at Buttercup Studios in Culver City from February 29 to March 3, 2024 alongside the fair in Santa Monica.

The installation included nearly four dozen archival garments, along with sections focused on reflective jackets, metal shell pieces, and collaborations with brands such as Supreme and Nike. The exhibition also featured material from the Stone Island Shadow Project (2008–2021), developed in partnership with Errolson Hugh.

The brand was founded by Massimo Osti and is known for its development of technical fabrics and garment treatments.

Essay Video provided projection and visual display systems throughout the exhibition environment.

It's all screens and mirrors.

For MATTE Projects-designed OMEGA House at Chelsea Factory, our team at Essay Video helped bring the environment to life through light — wrapping the room in motion, depth, and atmosphere.

Designed as a 12-day immersive experience, the space shifted from public exhibit by day to VIP event hub by night, built to create “engaging installations and curated space” that drive interaction and moments worth capturing.

Show control routed through a Barco E2

Live from the Domino Sugar Refinery — a full visual build for Benson Boone that blended LED, projection, and live switching into one seamless show.

Produced alongside Skylight, ADI, and RRD Studio, this setup pushed a cinematic look across a complex industrial space.
