There are some photographs that are beautiful because of what they look like… and then there are photographs that are beautiful because of what they mean. ❤️
This is Ivy Marie.
A woman who has faced stage three breast cancer, surgeries, uncertainty, fear, and battles that most people will never fully understand. And yet somehow, through it all, she continues to show the world what strength, courage, grace, and an unbelievably beautiful soul look like.
Today, she kayaked.
Shirtless.
Free.
Strong.
Beautiful.
ALIVE. 🛶🌿
And I hope she knows just how powerful that is.
Because healing isn’t always found in hospitals. Sometimes it’s found floating quietly on the water. In the warmth of the sun. In the trees surrounding you. In laughter with friends. In the people who show up, sit beside you, paddle alongside you, and remind you that you are so much more than what you’ve been through.
Nature has a way of reminding us that life keeps moving.
Communities remind us that we don’t have to move through it alone.
Friendships remind us that there is still laughter, adventure, and joy waiting for us.
And recovery reminds us that surviving isn’t the end of the story.
There may still be surgeries ahead. There may still be hard days, hard decisions, and challenges that haven’t finished fighting for her attention.
But today wasn’t about any of that.
Today was about a woman who has fought like hell choosing to get out on the water and simply LIVE.
Ivy, you are proof that courage doesn’t always roar.
Sometimes it looks like a woman in a kayak, surrounded by nature and people who love her, quietly saying:
“I’m still here.”
And damn, what a beautiful thing that is. ❤️🌿🛶
