As many of you know, I’m coming out of a fairly dark and challenging time in my personal life, which is why I have been mostly absent on social media and paused the Outdoor Photography Podcast for so long.

I will be sharing my philosophy and approach to creating personally expressive photographs in my talk, “Finding Magic in the Mundane”, at the Out of Chicago LIVE! Online Photography Conference happening 2/9-2/11. Playing in the gardens...

Thank you to and for the inspiration in their recent webinars with !

Without being able to hike these days (busted foot), I am ever more grateful for my perennial gardens.

I haven't really done flower photography before, and I have to admit - it's SO much more difficult than I expected.

It's been a really interesting challenge, and I encourage you to try it out - it will force you to expand and stretch some of your photography skills 💪😎🤗!
