Setting up to film a concert last night at the Kennedy Center in Washington , DC for DG Productions. My son David owns DG Productions which does both audio and video production. He set up all the audio and 2 video cameras. I brought 2 more cameras to make it a 4 camera shoot. Everything went smoothly.

Working on Chesapeake Collectibles at Maryland Public Television, running studio camera. This is how I started my career in the television industry, way back in 1977. It feels good that I can still remember how to do this. Like the old saying, it's just like riding a bicycle, you never forget.

I filmed basketball training video with Maryland Women's Basketball Coach Brenda Frese a couple of weeks ago at College Park's Xfinity Center. We had a great time filming and exchanging ideas, as we have done so in the past. She is a real Pro on and off camera and the staff at the facility was great to work with. I could not count all the many trophies she has in her office and I hope to work with her again soon.

I have been doing more VHS and digital tape transfers to cloud storage recently. This includes organizing/editing/encoding/uploading footage to a private streaming server and creating on-line DVD style menus for easy access to all footage in one collection. The 2 photos below are one example of how the on-screen menus look. (I am not including video for privacy reasons). If anyone needs to future proof their older videos, this is the way to do it.

This is a 6 minute abridged version I edited from the more than 90 minute full video of the 2022 Save A Child's Heart Gala. (I also edited an 18 minute short version for the client). I filmed this on November 10, 2022 at the Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD.

I was finally able to update my website and post some new videos. This one is a dance recital video I produced in 2022. Finally, a dance without everyone having to wear masks! Building a new high performance Premiere Pro edit workstation with 12th generation Intel I7, Z690 Motherboard, DDR5 memory, Corsair water cooler (installed in front this time) and GeForce RTX 3070 ti that I got a discount on via a Newegg shuffle. All new parts from the ground up. I am just waiting on power supply and some sata cables, will arrive tomorrow. I hope to power up by Wednesday and then start the lugubrious process of installing all the software, but this baby should be lightening fast for that chore. This should future proof my business for good while and make life easier to edit 4k footage.

Nothing like an 8 foot green screen to make sure it is back far enough to keep the spill light off of the talent. It may look like a messy set up but the result is a clean green screen with no shadows or wrinkles on the screen, great looking video and the audio isn't bad either. The client was very pleased.
