From the very first phone call, and I were completely aligned on the vision for her maternity session. Everything flowed so naturally, and what made this experience even more special was not only creating beautiful images together, but also gaining a new friend in the process.

Dr. Akinosun is a fellowship-trained Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon and proud Naperville native. Known for her warm approach and meticulous eye, she combines elite surgical training with a patient-centered philosophy focused on subtle, sophisticated results. Her practice, Akinosun Aesthetics will be opening in Oakbrook this summer, and I’m so excited for her and this next chapter.

There’s something so inspiring about photographing women who are both brilliant and beautiful, stepping into motherhood while also building incredible careers. It was truly an honor capturing this season for her.

Over the past few weeks, we read every single Woman As Art submission, and every story touched us deeply. There were so many incredible women nominated, making this decision incredibly difficult.

But Patricia’s story stayed with us.

A mother. A survivor. A provider. A woman who spent her life pouring into everyone around her while asking for nothing in return.

This Mother’s Day, her daughters surprised her with the news that she was selected as the official Woman As Art 2026 recipient, and watching her reaction reminded us exactly why this project was created.

Because every woman deserves to feel seen, celebrated, beautiful, and loved.

We’re so excited to now begin Patricia’s transformation journey and share behind the scenes of all the incredible services, moments, and experiences she’ll be receiving along the way. ✨
