Every photo begins real — captured by me — then AI adds the dream within. Original shots, artistic edits, professional touch. I’m the founder of Thy Pygmy Owl Tour, offering wildlife experiences in the San Francisco Bay Area, inspired by my lifelong passion for owls and nature. For 20+ years, I’ve explored the region’s habitats—from redwoods to wetlands—capturing local wildlife through photography

. I also incorporate AI tools to enhance my creative work, educational visuals, and storytelling. This account showcases multiple creative approaches, blending traditional photography, AI, and field experiences to inspire appreciation and conservation of the Bay Area’s wildlife.

Eyes on the prize. Three sets of piercing eyes watching the world go by from the safety of the nest. There’s nothing quite like the intensity of young Great Horned Owls.

An unexpected family portrait. 🦅🍂
Nature never ceases to amaze! Captured on video is a rare and remarkable sight: a tiny Red-tailed Hawk chick sharing a nest with a much larger Bald Eagle fledgling.
While hawks are typically prey for eagles, there have been rare cases where a hawk chick ends up in an eagle’s nest and is accepted by the adults. Against all odds, this little hawk appears to be thriving alongside its giant nestmate, creating a truly extraordinary scene.
Moments like this remind us just how surprising and fascinating the natural world can be.

This juvenile Northern Saw-whet Owl is clearly working hard on its afternoon nap schedule. There is nothing quite like catching these tiny raptors showing off their massive personalities!

Life at the burrow. 🤎

There’s nothing quite like witnessing the bond between wildlife parents and their young. While the adult stands tall and vigilant, the chick is just beginning to explore the world outside the safety of the ground. Moments like these make every second of waiting in the field entirely worth it.
