You don’t have to know what to do with your hands either.

Faceless photos have always had a special place in my galleries. 🤎

Partly because I’m a sucker for the little details. Tiny hands wrapped around mama. Messy curls. Baby toes. The way they lean into you when they feel safe.

But also because I know not every parent wants their child’s face shared online. I’m one of them.

I photograph my own daughter all the time, but I’m very intentional about what I share of her. And being a photographer has taught me that keeping a child’s face private doesn’t mean the photographs have to feel hidden.

There are so many beautiful ways to tell their story without ever showing their face.

Sometimes the photograph that says the most doesn’t need a face at all. 🤎

One day these feet will carry them everywhere.
Across bedroom floors. Through grass. Into school. Into a life entirely their own.

But right now?

They still fit in the palm of your hand.

And I think that’s worth remembering. 🥹
