12/30/2020
2020 has been a year full of pain, loss and doubt. From lost jobs, to friends and co-workers, the stress this year placed on all of us cannot be understated. It seemed only fitting that given the darkness this year cast on all our lives that the birth of our son Max Kenji Chambre on December 22nd, the first day after the darkest of the year, signaled the light at the end of the tunnel as the nights grow a bit shorter and the days, longer. I wish I could take credit for this, and I guess technically I have some responsibility in the matter, but to watch Katy nurture Max from a tiny fetus to a tiny human has blown my mind and heart. The outpouring of love and excitement from our community has reiterated to the both of us that despite being separated by six feet and our emotions hidden behind masks that the human spirit is far stronger than the adversity that has befallen all of us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my wife, my friends, neighbors and especially our family. The dawn of a new day is on the horizon.
