Oakland we did it again!!!
"Oakland has been named one of the Top 10 Best Small Cities in the U.S. by readers - and we are so proud!
In true Oakland style, this was yet another reason for the amazing people of Oakland to come together. We marked the moment with a community photo at (OMCA). We gathered on the Peace Terrace as a symbol of the peace and unity within our community. OMCA is home to the Peace sculpture by Cuban artist Tony Labat, who came to the U.S. as a political refugee. The peace sign, born from resistance and a powerful public voice, reminds us that peace is not a passive state, it's an active stance - and one we proudly take in Oakland.
Thank you to and to our hospitality, art, music, culinary, civic, and sports leaders and to all the community members who make Oakland so special. Together, we show the world what The Town is all about. This one's for you, and because of you! Shine bright Oakland!" -
