Let's talk about Fresh 48 sessions for just a minute.
Those first hours after birth don't feel like real life. If you have had a baby in hospital, you know what I mean. Time is blurry, you're exhausted. Overwhelmed. In awe. Still trying to understand how the baby you've been dreaming about is suddenly in your arms and not squished up in your belly anymore.
A Fresh 48 sessions takes place right there in your hospital room before you've packed up, before the visitors rotate through, before real life begins again.
What it captures:
Think wrinkly toes and flaky skin, the hospital bracelet with their name on it, the smallest of details that you may forget. Think the way dad looks at them when he thinks no one is watching, the siblings meeting baby for the very first time, the pride, the disbelief.
There are no props, no pressure, no "everyone look at the camera and smile" for an hour. Just raw, honest, documentary style, real life moments.
As a motherhood photographer, I can tell you that these are the images that hit differently years later. When the newborn bubble fades, when you can't remember how tiny they were on your chest, when THAT hospital room feels like a dream.
A Fresh 48 session quite literally freezes the very beginning of your story, if you can think of it that way. 🩶
There is nothing more powerful than remembering where it all started, those first few real life moments in that hospital room.
