So this past week we were suppose to go to Key West, but the hurricane had other plans for us. We pretty much got forced into a trip to Disney, and as much as I'm not into the whole Disney bit, it was awesome to get to show my son a Rune stone like this while in Epcot's Norway. I was all bummed about having to go there instead of experiencing something real, like the waters of Key West, but in the end, the feeling in that place is something you can't miss. Anyone who pays attention to an energy in a place, can get quickly overwhelmed and find themselves with matching Mickey Mouse shirts and a Goofy hat.

What better way to kick off Samhain than our first official shoot with a local Hedge Witch and great friend, Nicole. We were very fortunate when planning out this shoot, and I'm so excited that we were able to make it happen. Come check it out and I hope you all have a great Holiday.

I have spent almost 10 years photographing weddings. In all that time, I have photographed nearly 300 events and out of all of them, just one single small version of a Wiccan handfasting. It's time for that to change. I researched and looked into photographers that specialize in Earth based Spiritual paths, and came up empty. I wanted to dedicate a whole business model to the pagan community. Not just someone here for you, but one of you as well. Someone versed in pagan ceremonies and their meanings, accepting and ridiculously excited to be there for you. It's time the pagan community had someone who specializes in their beliefs. I want to be that person.

It's important to understand that a portrait is not just a picture of you, but a reflection of you and all the different sides of you. The ability to express our wide rang of emotions and feelings through images, is a time honored tradition and should always be at the forefront.

Obviously I love getting my family out into the woods and just spending time among the trees. I want nothing more than to see my son explore nature in a way that allows him to get in touch with it naturally. It's important for me that we raise him with an understanding of where natural resources come from and why it is so important to protect it. Camping at the Water Gap with my wife and son was a lot of fun and definitely a great way for us to connect as a family, but also a great way to submerge yourself in the Earth's beauty. We also did this on a night of the full moon so you can imagine the fun I had with that. ;D

I had an awesome opportunity this year to visit Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice. The only time you are allowed to go up and touch the stones is on either the summer or winter Solstice so this was a once in a life time opportunity for me. many people arrived early to meditate among the stones and do their own personal rituals for the holiday and kick off the all night long celebration. The OBOD Druids were there to welcome in the quarters and kick off the celebrations that took place all night long. Drum circles everywhere, witches doing divination, people casting circles, and the energy raised that night was like nothing I have ever felt before. The Druids returned in the morning to welcome the sun at sunrise and I will never in my life forget the time I spent at Stonehenge.
