Memory Making Series. My husband's first memory is standing in front of a Ferris wheel hand in hand with his parents. The lights flashing before him, the sounds of joyful screams from nearby rides and the smells of popcorn and cotton candy.

I have been working on a list of sessions I really want to do with families. They all revolve around experiences. Just fun, meaningful, connected experiences that capture this stage in your life with your young kids or as you're waiting on baby. We released 9 butterflies this morning and looking at these photos just makes this dream even stronger. Stay tuned for a more formal announcement as I finalize my list 🦋 btw we asked my four year old to pick out an outfit that would be good for releasing the butterflies; I love that she coordinated with them.

Oh where these feet will walk and what these hands will touch. I have a child who uses her hands to sew beautiful creations, a child who throws and hits baseballs and a child who digs up worms. Their little feet pitter patter throughout the house and run free in the sand. Every little detail of these tiny humans is so precious.

You know what I love? I am discovering new mom meetup groups and new young family meetup spaces quite regularly. When I had my daughter almost 9 years ago I wasn't aware of many groups. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough but these days it seems like you don't have to look too hard at all. I was the first of my friends to have a baby so I had to build a whole new friend group which I found challenging. I'm grateful for the hospital lactation support group and my midwife who connected me with some like minded mamas. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis when my daughter was 2 months old and having those support networks in place was everything as I navigated my diagnosis.

What are your Mother's Day plans? I like to head to to get my veggies and flowers and start on my garden around Mother's Day/my birthday. And of course spend some sweet time with my kiddos.

Mother's Day is one week away! My birthday is around Mother's Day and the one thing I always request from my children is a few nice pictures with them. I'm always behind the camera so I have to be very intentional about getting on the other side with my babies.

I'll be back at next Saturday capturing mommies and their littles and today I'll be at garden party doing the same. I'm so grateful to capture these moments for you 🤍

My favorite month has arrived and my baby girl is FOUR! And just like the flowers that emerge after a long Winter, our baby girl arrived Earth side. At 11:59pm on May 2nd, 2022 she showered the World with her light.
