A personal note from me ❤

Over the past few years, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what I want the next chapter of my life to look like.

After losing my husband, Kevin, following his long illness in May 2022, I knew eventually there would come a time when I would be ready for a significant change. I believe that time is getting closer.

I have decided to begin working toward relocating from the United States and making my home in Europe — spending my time between Finland and Italy, and most importantly, being closer to my family, my children, and my grandchildren.

After more than two decades in the United States, this is not a small decision. This country has been my home for so many years. I built my photography business here, met incredible people, photographed so many important moments, and formed friendships that have become much more than client relationships.

And for that, I am incredibly grateful. ❤

This is only an early heads-up. I am not leaving yet. There is still plenty for me to work through before the move becomes a reality, and Suvi Tory Photography is still here and photographing.

But knowing that my time here will eventually come to an end has made the sessions ahead feel even more meaningful to me.

So, if we have worked together before and you have been thinking, “We really should do this again,” I would absolutely love to see you one more time.

And if you have followed my work for years but have never quite made it in front of my camera, perhaps this is finally the time.

I would love to create something truly beautiful with you before this chapter of my photography journey comes to a close.

There will be more to share as my plans develop. For now, I simply wanted you to hear this news directly from me — and to say thank you for being such an important part of my life and my business here in Wisconsin.

Susan had dreamed about doing a bo***ir session for a long time. She just needed the courage to finally say yes.

And when she did, she surprised not only her husband — she surprised herself.

That is one of the most powerful things about a bo***ir experience. It isn't about becoming someone different for the camera. It's about seeing the woman who has been there all along.

As women, we change with age. Our bodies change. Our stories become richer. We carry more life, more experience, and often a much deeper understanding of who we are. But somewhere along the way, we're sometimes made to believe that feeling sexy, beautiful, feminine, and powerful belongs to a younger version of ourselves.

It doesn't.

You don't age out of sensuality. You don't age out of being photographed beautifully. And you certainly don't age out of feeling incredible in your own skin.

Susan's session is such a beautiful reminder that it is never too late to do something that makes you feel alive, confident, and wonderfully yourself. The biggest surprise waiting on the other side of a bo***ir session is your own.
