Sometimes we talk ourselves out of the very thing God is calling us to because we don’t feel ready.

Not enough money.
Not enough experience.
Not enough confidence.

But what if He’s not asking you to have it all figured out? What if He’s simply asking you to trust Him with the next step?

If there’s a dream or idea you’ve been sitting on because you’re waiting for the “perfect” time, maybe this is your reminder that faith often starts before everything makes sense.

I don’t always know exactly how something is going to turn out.

But I know I won’t get there if I never start.

Whatever you’ve been putting off… maybe today is the day you just take the first step.

what are you passionate about?

When I first started, I used to mail appointment reminders. I’d print each letter on nice, heavy paper, handwrite a note, sign it, and even make a laminated appointment card with their date and time on it!

I try to always asking myself the same question…

“If I were the client, what would make me feel special?”

The way I communicate has changed. The technology has changed. But my goal hasn’t.

I want people to feel taken care of from the very first interaction, not just when they step in front of my camera ❤️

I’m curious… what’s something a business has done that made you feel genuinely cared for?please share, I’d love to hear it!

You probably aren’t thinking about updating your headshot today.

But one day, you’ll get asked for a photo to go with your bio. Maybe it’s for a speaking engagement, your website, a podcast, a conference, or something else that’s important to you.

And when that moment comes, I don’t want you scrambling to find a photo that no longer feels like you.

That’s exactly what today’s session was for. We created images she’ll use for her upcoming speaking engagement, but they’ll continue serving her long after that event is over.

So if it’s been a few years since you’ve updated your headshots, consider this your little reminder. Your future self will thank you. 🤍

Pastors & Ministers Need a Current Headshot

A professional photo communicates credibility, care, and connection.

In a world where people often search online before they ever walk through your church doors, having an up-to-date headshot helps you put your best forward!

Some sessions have stayed with me for years.

One of my very first clients…18-20 years ago. pulled me aside before we started and shared all of the things she was insecure about. I don’t know why, but that moment changed the way I approached photography.

I realized people aren’t just trusting us to take a good photo.

They’re trusting us with something that feels personal.

Ever since then, my goal has never been to simply create a beautiful image. It’s been to create an experience where people can relax, feel seen, and leave thinking, “That was actually fun.”

I think the best expressions happen when people stop worrying about the camera and just get to be themselves.

Photographers… what’s one lesson from a client that completely changed the way you photograph people? I’d love to hear it. 🤍
