Just a little life + business update from behind the camera… 🥹📸

Hypsy Jo Photography is officially booked through the end of November.

This year has looked a little different for me. I took a chance and started another business, while continuing to pour into the photography business I’ve spent the last 8+ years building.

And somehow, these two little dreams have created a life that keeps me BUSY, lets me travel, gives me freedom to explore, and allows me to keep doing work that I genuinely enjoy. 🥹

Photography especially has taken me so many places over the years. Weddings, events, shows, businesses, portraits, couples, adventures… sometimes close to home and sometimes with a suitcase and camera bag in tow. ✈️📸

I’ve never really wanted to put myself into one box. I like doing a little bit of everything. I like creating. I like traveling. I like working hard and then disappearing into the mountains for a few days. 😂🥾

And lately, I’ve realized I’m slowly building a life that actually allows me to do all of those things.

I’m beyond grateful for every person who books a session, hires me for an event, trusts me with their wedding day, recommends my name, supports my businesses, or simply follows along.

I don’t take any of it lightly. 🤍

With that being said, my photography calendar is full through November and December dates are officially open. ✨ and LIMITED 🥹

A little work, a little travel, a whole lot of creating… and I’m pretty excited to see where it all goes next. 🌿📸✈️

Just because I’m a little quieter on social media doesn’t mean I’ve stopped creating. 🤍

Truthfully, I’ve been spending less time chasing the algorithm and more time chasing sunsets, genuine smiles, and the moments that deserve to be remembered.

Photography has never been about just clicking a camera.It’s about slowing down, connecting with people, and creating something that tells your story.

I’ve been a little quiet over here, and I think I finally figured out why. 🤍

Somewhere along the way, I started saying yes to everything. 🙈

But the truth is…the photos that make me feel the most alive have never been the perfectly posed ones.

They’re the road trips. 🚗
The sunsets. ☀️
The laughter you didn’t know I was capturing. ✨
The wind. 💨
The mountains. 🏔️
The way someone looks at the person they love when they forget the camera is even there. 🥹

That’s the photographer I want to be.

So moving forward, I’m intentionally taking on a limited number of sessions each month, not because I’m photographing less, but because I want to give every session the creativity, time, and heart it deserves.🙌

I want to create adventurous, editorial, story-driven images that feel like you, not just another Pinterest pose.✨

If you’re looking for photos that feel natural, emotional, a little wild, and completely you, I’d absolutely love to create something together.

My calendar will stay intentionally small, so once those monthly spots are filled, they’re gone. I’ll also be offering a few seasonal mini sessions throughout the year, so if that’s more your style, keep an eye out because those spots will be limited too. ❤️

A few weeks ago, I did a poll asking what people wanted most when it came to photography, and the overwhelming answer was affordable photos.

I know times are tough right now, and I truly believe everyone deserves to have beautiful memories documented without breaking the bank. ❤️

Because of that, I’m opening up a handful of SELECT portrait session dates for the remainder of 2026 at a special rate of $225 total! I’m bringing back some of my older pricing for a limited time.
