My name is Richard Jackson, and I am a freelance photographer specializing in photojournalism. After retiring from the military and living six years in Switzerland, my wife and I now call Oklahoma home. I have been practicing my craft for almost thirty years and am passionate about capturing one-of-a-kind moments through the lens of my camera. My travels have taken me all over the world, and thoug

h I have had the privilege of photographing wild animals in their natural habitat or capturing the beauty of the Swiss Alps, my passion is documenting real people as they are experiencing life. Photojournalism is far more than the static portrait…it is capturing that fleeting moment when the human spirit breaks forth, and memories are forever embedded in your mind’s eye. Those are the pictures you want hanging on your wall, sitting on your desk, or scrolling through a digital photo frame, because those are the moments that matter. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m out cycling, hiking with my dog, volunteering in the local community, or spending time with our kids, grandkids, and extended family.
