Some rusty relics in the Lynden, WA area. Dixie and I always say, it doesn't matter what you shoot....every camera every lens is just another paintbrush. Just get out and capture! I have always been a gearhead, so being able to give old cars and trucks some added life as art makes me smile!

The Last Free Art Drop at Cogar

Today I made one last trip to the old APCO station in Cogar, Oklahoma, and left the final Forgotten Main Street Free Art Drop at the place where this little experiment found its home. Cogar has always been exactly the kind of place Forgotten Main Street was created to celebrate. An old gas station. A quiet Oklahoma backroad. A place thousands of people have probably driven past without ever knowing the stories connected to it....

We’re rolling out for an easy-going Route 66 adventure with friends, cameras, and plenty of photo stops along the way.

1:30 PM – Social time + arrivals
Meetup: Route 66 Park in Bethany
2:00 PM – Quick briefing + grab your easy-to-follow route flyer (packed with iconic metro stops)

From there, you can ride with the caravan or use the flyer as your own self-guided photo hunt as we head east toward Arcadia for dinner at The Chicken Shack —then we’ll wrap the day chasing that classic neon glow at Pops Soda Ranch.

Bring your favorite camera, comfy shoes, and that “let’s go see what we find” vibe. See you out on the Mother Road!
