I can’t say enough good things about today’s session. 😍 The squishiest, sweetest new baby, two proud big siblings, a precious family of F I V E. I’m absolutely in love with the whole session and can’t wait to share. Also, major shout out to for the most incredible space for a session like this. I was blown away by the set ups and props available and I can’t wait to go back.

Last night was a beautiful evening (albeit a tidbit warm 😅) for a quick session at Will Rogers Gardens. It was so sweet to photograph my favorite 1-year-old in the same place we shot the pregnancy announcement of her what seemed like yesterday. 🥹 Time needs to slow down.

The fam and I had a blast at Loud City Live last night! Obviously, the game didn’t go how we’d hoped, but getting to experience the playoff hype with thousands of other fans from the *best* fan base was incredible. Definite memory for the books for us and the kiddos. Huge thanks to the organization for doing this and allowing so many of us this opportunity to cheer on the team in such an awesome environment at the ! We’re hyped for game 7! Thunder up!! ⚡️💙🏀🧡⚡️

Also, shout out to the amazing motorcycle officer who saw me struggling to find someone to take our photo together and came over to snap this for us. We so appreciate your kindness as you kept us safe. ❤️

So, the proposal shoot wasn't *just* a coverup for the big moment. We actually did have family photos scheduled. 😂 Honestly, I couldn't have loved this session more. I was super nervous and working at times to stall before arriving at the right spot at the exact time, but it was genuinely the best session all on its own. This family is the absolute sweetest and every one of them is so naturally photogenic. The light was phenomenal, the weather was perfect, the smiles were real, the laughter was contagious... just the best. Those who know me best know I tend to be quite hypercritical of my work. Even photos others specifically compliment, I can usually find fault with. So when one of my instructors talks a lot about getting “go home happy” shots, I don’t much relate. A “go home happy” shot is exactly what it sounds like: a photo you know the moment you take it is one you’re going to absolutely love and be thrilled to deliver. This image right here is the first time I’ve ever experienced that feeling deep in my soul. The lighting, the focus, the composition… it all lights me up inside! Of course, it’s a massive help to have such a gorgeous model. 👌🏻 Anyway, thanks for letting me share in my joy of creating this image. 😊 I can’t wait to share the rest of the family session soon!!
