As a reactive dog owner, I GET IT.

The worries, the stress, the frustration.
Not being certain how your dog will respond to triggers.
Knowing she won’t sit still because she’s constantly on alert.
Feeling like you can’t take her anywhere because other people don’t understand.

But I get it! My dog is not a bad dog, and neither is yours.
She’s simply misunderstood.

But don’t let that hold you back from adventure, from creating memories, and from capturing those special moments with your best friend.

To let her wander the forest trails, let her sniff at every scent.

To let her wade the water, let her fur catch the sunlight.

To let her walk among the golden leaves, her companion by her side.

Til she decides that she is ready for home and begins the walk back again.

Early mornings mean a pink and purple sunrise….
And the cutest corgi to go along!

Bomi was a rockstar during her session. Her and her momma had been working hard to prepare for their shoot and it showed!
I am so grateful to all my clients who put in the work and practice for their sessions. It is so evident and means so much!

And to all my non-morning people, I’ll let you in on a little something….

I’m not a morning person either!

But each sunrise session has its own stunning beauty and magical light that I wouldn’t miss for the world. Trust me when I say it’s 100% worth the pre-dawn wake up call.
Plus, your dog will thank you for it with a hard-earned nap afterward ;)

Did you know that 99% of the dogs I photograph are leashed during their session?

The other day someone told me they could never do a photoshoot with their dog because he couldn’t be let off leash. She almost didn’t believe me when I told her that nearly all the dogs she had seen in my photos had been leashed for the entirety of their shoot. I assured her it was true and told her it was the power of editing.

Leashes are not restrictions. They are a tool used to keep your dog, and others, safe. To provide guidance in moments of uncertainty, stress, and surprise. And to provide a peace of mind for you, knowing that your four-legged friend is just on the other end of the lead.
