Flew my drone for a project today and the haze in created interesting light and decided to capture the Monarch building while I was up there. Not a bad way to start my Saturday.

If you have a project that needs to be captured from above, my drone is ready for action.

It’s National Take a Hike Day. This year I haven’t gotten on the trail as much as I would have liked, but it is definitely one of my favorite things.

Growing up hunting, I never went hiking just for the sake of it. There was always an outcome I was after. Yet still, some of my favorite memories are of hiking up mesas that overlook parts of Oklahoma most people aren’t aware of.

After leaving the service I discovered I actually enjoy gaining elevation using my legs. Getting away from my phone and not being focused on an outcome other than to experience the outdoors is one of my favorite things.

Though I won’t be taking a hike today, I’ll share a few shots of some I’ve enjoyed. These are from my last trip to the Salida, Colorado area.

Takaramono in the Plaza District completely changed how I see this space.

I remember when it was Oak and Oar, and it never felt this big. The redesign makes you notice the scale in a way you just couldn’t before. The team behind it did an incredible job transforming the space into something that feels intentional and alive.

If you have not been, it is definitely worth going to. The food was excellent and the staff was very gracious.

This was a fun shoot for . Their development of the Hudson Theater in midtown has been fun to watch over the past few years. One of their more recent additions has been , a bouldering gym that started in Edmond.

This particular shoot was fun because I was working with a compressed timeframe while the staff was in the middle of rearranging the climbing routes. Thankfully the bank of windows made the light easy to work with, I just had to compose around what they were doing.

For this shot I borrowed two of their staff members, separately shooting each and compositing the shots in photoshop to create the final composition.

More to follow.

More from the Myriad.

From where I shot this, the Paycom Center sits directly behind me, having replaced the Myriad/Cox Convention Center. In the not-too-distant future, its replacement will be built where this building once stood.

I took the first two shots of the south entrance just days before the construction fencing went up, closing off the site to everyone except the crews dismantling it. The last one was captured on November 5th.

The Ziggurat in Downtown OKC is a unique office building that overlooks Kerr Park. It's shorter stature relative to the surrounding buildings comes together with its form to present unique shadow casts in the mid morning. To gain access to this elevated vantage, I employed the services of my trusty jet pack. Somehow I was able to make it workout without a hitch.

Licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration, I stand ready to deploy my drone to take on any (legal) project you have that would be augmented by aerial photography. All one must do is reach out.

A little about me: My name is Trevor and one of the things I do is photography. I like to think I’m good, but I’ll let you decide that.

I’ve always had an artistic side, but I boxed it up for over a decade. By the time it resurfaced, I had long since dropped out of art school and moved on to another degree. Photography started as a practical need to control my own listing photos, but along the way I learned a lot about Photoshop.

This photo is a demonstration of that power.

I would love to help you showcase your project, your business, or your personal brand. Reach out and let’s make magic happen. Onward.

This has always been one of my favorite buildings in OKC. Plans were approved this year to renovate it and turn it into a music venue. Whatever happens to it, I hope the dome remains golden.

Earlier this summer I had the honor to capture this space for , a commercial construction company out of Yukon, OK.

Ryan and his team did an excellent job building out this space in Nichols Hills Plaza for his client.
