Now to share my beautiful niece and her daddy. I think she already has him wrapped around her finger. Getting to watch him become a dad and seeing the love he has for her and my sister is so special. I can’t wait to watch their relationship grow.

Today I get to share with you my beautiful sister. She is already such a wonderful mom. We joke that her daughter just wants girl time so she keeps mom up all night. One day maybe she will realize they can sleep at night and she can have girl time during the day.

I am so excited to share these photos with you.

1. Because I took them! I am so proud of these images. For years I’ve admired other photographers work that looked like this. I love the simple beauty of them. I’ve spent time learning from other’s and looking for inspiration. And I took these!! I cannot wait to get to do more.

2. This is my new favorite human. This is my beautiful niece. I cannot wait to watch her grow. She is so loved already. Her cousin crew cannot wait for her to be ready for adventure days together.

This session may have been full of fart noises but we laughed and had soooo much fun. This is the third year I’ve photographed this beautiful family and it’s always the best time. We look at spider webs, rolled in the grass, compared fart noises, looked for frogs, and threw a few rocks in the creek. This mom and dad sure know how to roll with it. And we got the best smiles out of the silly boys.

It’s also been a long time since I’ve played with black and white images. But I’ve been seeing all of ‘s beautiful b&w’s and had to try a few myself.

Last month I had the amazing opportunity to attend a shoot out with . It was so much fun. We had the most beautiful sunset and it was so helpful to watch Lora shoot and listen to how she thinks through a session. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us!

A maternity session for a couple’s first child is my absolute favorite session to shoot. And add in that it’s for a couple whose wedding I did a year ago and on Mother’s Day weekend, this was so special. This location is also the same place they got engaged and where we took some of their wedding photos. My heart was so full driving home last night.

I’m so lucky to have families that ask me to take their photos again a second year in a row. I love getting to see how their kids have grown and reconnecting. This beautiful family is always a joy to photograph.
