A lot of my work feels natural and carefree, and I love that it feels that way for my clients.

But I want to be honest…

When I first started, I remember getting praised for being lucky, for being in the right place at the right time, for catching moments that just happened.

Then I learned that luck doesn’t last.

What lasts is understanding light.
What lasts is knowing your camera inside and out.
What lasts is paying attention to space, timing, and how something is going to feel before it ever looks good on camera.

Before I take a photo, I’m observing. I’m watching how light moves through a space. I’m noticing what feels calm, what feels forced, what feels honest. I’m thinking about where the sun is, where it’s going, what the tide is doing, how a couple will feel standing there in that exact moment.

I always welcome ideas and inspiration but my job is knowing when and where they’ll translate best.

The goal has never changed. I want photos to feel effortless, emotional, and real.

The truth is, none of that happens by accident.
It happens because of intention, observation, and years of learning what actually lasts.
