Happy Sunday 💓
I have a little bittersweet announcement…
I’m sure many of you have noticed that I have been relativley quiet on here. After almost 3 years full time with my business I have made the decision to slowly step away from being full time.
This was an extremely hard decision for me, but my life has changed so drastically over the last year and I just don’t find as much joy in sessions as I use to.
I am missing a piece of my heart that will never get to be in our family photos again, and that has affected the way I view sessions and my mental health in a very unfortunate way.
I always joked with my *very patient* husband, that I still didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grow up (I’ll be 29 this year 😵💫) But in my heart, I know God has lead me to my purpose in life…and it is a total 180 from what I thought I’d be doing.
After Bo left us I made it my mission to make a difference in some way shape or form. All of my wondering where I was suppose to be finally started making sense. Bo gave me my purpose..and while I miss him so much, I know he has guided me to this calling and gives me the strength every day to keep going, even if for just one more day.
I was offered an amazing new position as a Maternal Health Advocate focusing on perinatal and postpartum mental health in mothers, with an overall goal of reducing maternal, fetal and infant mortality rates (Indiana is unfortunately one of the highest ranked among the states) it was an opportunity I just knew I had to take.
I am also pursuing a new adventure as an affiliated photographer with a company who volunteers their time and sessions to families experiencing loss, so they can have images to remember their sweet babies. Which means I could receive a call at any moment to help.
I will still be offering sessions as a part time opportunity and for holidays, but this will no longer be my career focus in life. So if I am slow to respond, quiet, or unavailable…please understand ❤️
Thank you all for the most amazing few years of this, I have met so many wonderful people and had SO much fun at sessions! I hope to still see some of you from time to time!
