TW: acupuncture needles in next slides

I come back to this shoot often to admire it. Emily of Valley Spirit Wellness Center and I created such a cozy working environment and photographed the many aspects of her gorgeous healing abode, Valley Spirit Wellness Center. I can attest to Emily’s healing hands well as I’ve received many sessions, which help my body recover from hunchback & tight shoulders photographer mode!!

To capture moments filled with plants, art, herbs, willing participants, and cozy treatment spaces was a joy - this 2 part branding series last year was easily one of my favorites.

I’m lucky to call wellness branding & retreat photography one of my “niches” and provide holistic photography for special people and places. This year is booking up well - contact me to inquire and get on the schedule.

Happy almost new year! Before I go dancing, I have some time to reminisce..

What a whirlwind this year has been.
I’d like to also note other honorable mentions of ongoing projects and developments:

I started to provide consulting services along with photography and video content creation. I partnered with an incredible documentary film that is currently winning awards left and right on the festival run. I pulled back on providing social media content creation, besides my own.

My partner moved to NY and we eloped in nature, just like we always wanted. We worked with an incredible wedding photographer who made our visual dreams come true -

We will be moving and building our dream home on land we love in the new year, a place where many dreams will come to fruition. A place I’ve dreamt about for the last 5 years. A place right around the corner, so my work will have the same home base, because I love it here.

The constant through it all? My work. Your joy. Your connection. And your support. It is such an honor to be able to tell these magical stories year after year with you.

I’ve been dying to post these photos of S and A! This was 1/4 of my Model Calls and they nailed it.

Sometimes it all comes together.. a perfect fall afternoon, gorgeous lighting, pure, palpable love, and seamless co-creation.

We shot these at A’s family home, a place where they already have memories and a love of place, which really makes these photos come to life.

📸 Fall mini sessions - I won’t be hosting a fall mini session day this year. My partner and I are in the middle of moving houses so it’s been busy on my side of the world. Still thinking of opening up a halloween or holiday-themed mini sessions date.

🫶 Upcoming model call: I am also looking to do something special this fall by hosting a model call for FREE photos! This will be geared towards storytelling and content I’ve been wanting to capture for a long time. Subscribe to my email newsletter to be the first to hear about it.

True story: taking these photos made me realize I need to book lovey dovey couple photos with my partner asap and live more in the moment! Most of my clients book photo sessions to document milestones and special moments like bar mitzvahs, during maternity, or every year for holiday cards and to capture the kids.

But this couple? When I asked them if they booked the shoots for an occasion, they said “just because!” Sometimes I am blown away that I get to step into my clients’ most important moments and bear witness to them fully. It reminds me to be curious and playful, be bold in my actions, and allow myself to be seen. Just because.

It’s not every day when I get to photograph kitties, but when I saw A and her cat - named Little Cat 😻, strolling through the farm where I host sessions after a mini session day, I convinced her to entertain me. Little might be the bravest cat I’ve ever met, following her just about anywhere he can. Maybe next time we can photograph y’all on the rowboat this year, ??

This photo is of the picnic setup of the farm in Olive, NY, which I haven’t been able to show online yet because usually more than 70% of my clients keep their photos private. It was May and we had lots of lilacs and the greenery was growing around the stream beautifully! 🌿

They will be hosted in Olive, NY at a private farm with a variety of scenery at our disposal: a vintage red barn, meadows, gardens with spring blooms, herbs, lilacs, crabapples! 🧺 There will be a beautiful picnic spot we stumble onto, with flowers in woven baskets and other surprises to elevate your photos. 🌸Magnolias and cherry blossoms may or may not be in bloom, depending on how soon mother earth wakes up this year.
