Namsan by night
The Seoul City Wall, also known as the Hanyangdoseong, was originally constructed in 1396, during the reign of King Taejo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty. The wall was built to protect the city of Hanyang, the capital of Joseon, which is now modern-day Seoul. The wall stretches for about 11.5 miles and passes through the four main mountains surrounding the city: Baegaksan, Naksan, Namsan, and Inwangsan.
Namsan Tower, or N Seoul Tower, is located on Namsan Mountain, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Seoul. The tower is located near the center of the city, and provides a panoramic view of the entire city. The tower is beautifully illuminated at night, and many visitors find the evening hours to be the perfect time to capture the beauty of the tower and the city wall. The contrast between the ancient city wall and the modern tower, both lit up against the night sky, creates a stunning visual that blends the old with the new. This combination of historical and modern architecture, set against the backdrop of the bustling city, makes for a truly unique and breathtaking image.
