Honestly, I’m not even sure what this caption should be because truth of the matter is that I’ve fallen out of love with being a photographer, I’ve been in my head about my abilities, and I’ve just felt a little directionless. 😭

However, none of these could deter my love for taking pictures and capturing the beauty of the earth! 🥰

Happy Monday (evening lol) everyone! I’ve been contemplating an online print shop for quite some time now, and after being featured in one back in February I knew it was time to mash the gas on it lol!

However, recently I’ve been struggling with my desired niche and the type of imagery I truly love creating - more on that soon, I’ll be going live to talk about it. So, I kinda took a step back with planning for the shop.

So it’s with immense gratitude that, in honor of my
30-day birthday countdown til July 5th (tech. 29 but yesterday was about my nephew), I am launching my very first Online Print Shop to sell some of my favorite landscape photographs!!! 🥳 Hey y’all! So in case you missed yesterday’s Reel, I did a thing… well actually I’ve been doing a thing for the last 4 months! I created the official website for Tyra’s Captures Photography! 🥳

It took me a while because I was trying to figure out which platform made sense for me, how I wanted it to look, struggled with being consistent, needed to build my portfolio, etc… but it’s finally here and launching soon! November 10th to be exact! Wow, I can’t believe it! Thank you, Lord! 😭🙌🏾

Be sure to mark your calendars so you can check it out and schedule your shoots! But for now, my DMs and Email are both still open! 🤗

A couple of weeks ago I was home going through some photos on my old laptop. And I came across quite a few from my old camera, a Kodak Easyshare C140 (I thought I was actually doing something with that camera 🤣). Included in those images was this precious gem. ✨

For those who may not know, my grandma (and grandpa) transitioned to her heavenly home last year. And when she passed, I searched high and low (so I thought) for images that I’d taken of her and couldn’t find any.

Needless to say, when I came across this image I cried like a baby and immediately ran into my mom’s room! This image provides a few insights:

• I was passionate about photography well before I actually realized it - I truly just thought it was cool to take pictures of everything back then.

• Family is truly one of my most coveted treasures - I have a large family so that should come as no surprise!

• My grandma really loved her some us (her grandkids) - I mean just look at that smile on her face! 🥰

This is what Tyra’s Captures is all about! ✨📸 Continue to Rest Peacefully, Grandma Jean! I love you forever! 🥺💞🕊
