One of my favorite photographs from the recent set I shot at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. Its a beautiful time of year to pay that place a visit. Got to view some amazing birds including Red Winged Black Birds, Blue Herons, and some cute little Goslings. This is a small tree frog, the smallest frog species in Washington, this one couldn't have been bigger than a quarter. 🐸🌿

Check out the full album I posted here: https://www.facebook.com/1645972729004123/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2094244364176955

This shot was taken with my Nikon D3100, 18-55mm zoom lens utilizing some magnifying lens filters I bought a few years ago.

One of my favorite shots I captured this summer, of a crab spider consuming a bee 🕸️🐝🕷️🌿🌸 I'll also post a small album with a few others shots from this set since it was so hard to choose the best!

This shot was taken with my Nikon D3100, 18-55mm zoom lens utilizing some magnifying lens filters I bought a few years ago. I think they do the job of capturing small subjects pretty well, especially for how cheap the set was comparatively to macro lens prices. I loved them cause they have helped introduce me to macro photography while still keeping an affordable budget for equipment. Great for anyone looking to dable or experiment in macro photography, but who aren't ready to make the leap to purchase an expensive macro lens. I've also bought a set for my sister (Teperz Rae Photography) for her Canon camera and she loved them ❤️👀📷

For those interested in the magnification lens filters I got:

April 12th-24th 2017 - For my senior quarter of my undergraduate education at The Evergreen State College I traveled to Iceland to explore its natural beauty and document the space. Here are the photographs I took along the journey through some areas of Iceland, and parts of Reykjavik.

April 20th 2017 - An incredibly obscure exhibition of 282 specimens from over 90 different animal species (nearly all the mammalian species which reside in Iceland)! Along with the specimens that can be observed at this museum, the collection contains 350 ph***ic artistic objects and imagery. Folklore can also be found throughout the museum amongst the specimens. If you are ever in Iceland do not miss the chance to see this odd yet incredibly fascinating exhibition.

April 16th 2017 - On an incredibly windy and stormy day during my recent trip to Reykjavík, me and my sister found ourselves spending a few hours in the cozy comfort of the Whales of Iceland museum. Whales of Iceland is the largest curated educational exhibition on whales in the world. This museum features dozens of life sized replicas of different whale species, and provides incredible information on each whales life cycle and behaviors. The atmosphere is dimly lit with blue lighting and soft whale sounds, giving a very underwater-like experience. Please enjoy these photos of the museum, and make a point to visit there yourself if you are in Iceland!

December 9th 2016 - Over the course of Fall quarter three TESC Student artists set off on their own individual learning contract work focused on thematic artistic inquiry and research. Individual themes varied but contained similarities in the form of women, feminism, fragmentation, and objectification. Each student artist did their learning contracts under the Evergreen faculty Lisa Sweet.
