******PRAYERS PLEASE!!!******

I can't believe I'm even having to post this..but Arya could use EVERY SINGLE PRAYER you can give her!!!

They still aren't 100% sure on what kind of infection she has but it progressed extremely quickly and resulted in her not waking up from her CT scan. They moved her to the PICU and shortly after she received CPR and had surgery to be hooked up to ECMO. Which is currently keeping her alive.

Please pray for our sweet warrior and pray directly that she does not get a brain bleed or GI bleed.

On Friday we had to take Arya to the ER for a fever. Later that evening we were admitted to the hospital. Yesterday she was really lethargic and had a blood transfusion.

Her fever continues to spike. Urine, stool, GI, and respiratory tests have came back clear. They are waiting to see if her port could possibly be infected and are running some other tests but are unsure the cause right now. Today she has received platelets and is currently getting a blood transfusion.
Her number are extremely low and is pretty uncomfortable so we could use some extra prayers for our sweet girl!

THREE MONTHS.
Three months since Arya was diagnosed with this awful disease.
·
Unless you have a kid going through this or one that has went through this you won't understand the feeling. The feeling of questioning every single choice you've made, if you could've figured it out sooner, every single IF AND or BUT.
·
Then for people to say we don't care about our sick daughter because we are sending our girls to school this year or choosing to try and live a normal life is completely insane. If you have those feelings see yourself out of our lives.
No one understands what we go through every single day or how hard it is to hold Arya down while she is kicking and screaming because she doesn't want to be accessed. Watching her get different types of chemo to fight this horrible disease to then come home and be sick all night. Or trying to keep a toddler entertained for hours while getting treatment.
So for someone to tell us we don't care or question what we are doing and what we think is best for OUR family is absolutely uncalled for.

Everyone else has been outstanding and we truthfully can not thank each and every single one of you enough. We would not have gotten through these three months without you all.

Today Arya has two different chemo treatments and is receiving platelets. Friday she will most likely need blood and more platelets.
·
The last picture is what it looks like to be accessed. The needle is in so they can draw labs, give blood, platelets or chemo. They try to keep her accessed as long as possible since she has treatment multiple times a week. Due to her soft, baby like skin we still can't figure out a dressing that holds. Which means having to reaccess every single day to every other day. You can imagine how difficult that is on Arya, myself and Jesse.
Prayers we can figure out something that works. Again thank you to everyone who has supported us these last three months.

On Friday Arya got a blood transfusion which helped her feel a lot better and have a good, relaxing weekend. Her numbers were bad last week but even worse yesterday. 😢 They are going to recheck them on Monday but most likely treatment will get pushed back a week for her body to recover. Right now her body can't fight off any sicknesses so we are back to keeping to ourselves and trying our best to keep Arya healthy!

Today was another long one. Arya had a spinal tap, VCR treatment and a PEG treatment. The PEG is a longer treatment and a lot harder on the body but she handled it well.
·
Her numbers were worse this week so we will be back in a few days for more labs and a possible transfusion but we get TWO days off! Two whole days of being away from the hospital sounds amazing and we are really excited to be home and relax.
·
She did great after her spinal and had a fun time in the infusion center waiting for her chemo treatments. She walked around, played and chatted with all the nurses.

ARYA IS TWO!!! ✌️

Going to treatment might not be how we would like to celebrate her birthday but this little lady is handling it all so well. She smiles through the pain, giggles when she falls and always tries to get back up even if she needs some help. Her strength is what is getting us all by. 🧡

Last night was an emotional one to say the least. We got rid of the few strands that were still hanging onto Arya's head and dad shaved his to support his baby girl.

I'm so happy that we decided to get these documented because I will truly cherish these forever!

The first two pictures are days apart, days! You can't believe the difference of being off the steroids has made. I love seeing our sweet girl smile and giggle at her siblings. She still can't stand but has been playing while sitting so we will take that. The kids are so happy she is letting them sit and interact with her.

Last night we were in the ER with Arya's first fever. They did an IV antibiotic but are still waiting for some blood cultures to come back.
·
Our phase 2 (consolidation) is going to look a lot different because Arya's tests from her spinal and bone marrow biopsy didn't come back quite like they wanted. So they are moving her from standard risk to high risk.
Which means a lot more intensive treatment starting Tuesday. They would've started today if she didn't have a fever. We will be at the hospital 4 days a week for different treatment and the next 8 months will be very difficult on her. Please continue all the thoughts and prayers for our sweet girl!

We are beyond ready for this phase to be over! The intense swelling (6 pounds so far), the roid rages, waking up multiple times in the night with fits, can't walk, the constant eating (midnight mac n cheese, 2am pizza and 4am toast and cheese its) CAN GO AWAY!
The doctors said this stage was brutal and they weren't lying! 😩

Wednesday Arya will have more labs, another spinal tap and bone marrow biopsy. Please pray that the tests come back clean so we can move onto phase 2!

To say we are ready for Wednesday is an understatement. We can't wait to have our happy, sweet girl back!

Today's appointment went great! Arya's numbers held steady, so no transfusion!! She walked around a bunch more today! Still with a limp but so nice to see her moving around!
