One bouquet. So many ways to photograph it.

Your bridal bouquet is more than a beautiful detail; it becomes part of the story of your wedding day. And when it comes to portraits, there’s no reason it has to be held the same way in every photo.

Try holding it at your waist for a classic, timeless look. Bring it closer for an intimate portrait. Let it fall naturally at your side for something more relaxed. Hold it over your shoulder for a playful moment, or use the blooms to frame your face for a more editorial feel.

Small changes in how you hold your bouquet can completely change the mood of an image.

The best part? You don’t have to know how to pose. That’s my job.

I’ll guide you through the little adjustments that turn one bouquet into a whole gallery of portraits that feel natural, beautiful, and completely you.

Which bouquet pose would you choose: classic, romantic, relaxed, or editorial?

She’s only a senior once.

Senior portraits don’t have to look like everyone else’s. They should feel like her.

A little playful. A little effortless. A little dreamy. And completely her own.

From sun-soaked moments by the water to soft movement through the flowers, these portraits capture the confidence, personality, and individuality that make this season of life so special.

Because years from now, these won’t just be photos from senior year. They’ll be a reminder of who she was right before everything changed.

Class of 2027, your story deserves to be captured your way.

Every senior has a story.

For some, it’s written under the Friday night lights. For others, it’s found in early mornings, long practices, teammates, coaches, and the moments no one else sees.

Senior portraits are about capturing all of it.

Not just the smile. Not just the uniform. But the person behind it. The determination, confidence, personality, and everything that has brought them to this moment.

These images capture more than a senior year. They capture a chapter that will never look quite like this again.

And that’s what makes senior portraits worth remembering.

3 things I would recommend to wear for your senior portraits.

Planning your senior session? Before you start pulling outfits from your closet, here are three things I’d skip for your Class of 2027 senior portraits.

1. Super Tight // Restrictive Outfits
They may look great on the hanger, but if you can’t move comfortably, it can make posing feel stiff and limit the variety of photos we can create.
Instead: Choose pieces that give you room to move — flowy dresses, tailored layers, or outfits that let you feel confident and comfortable.

2. Loud Patterns // Tiny Prints
Busy patterns can pull attention away from your face and sometimes create distracting visual effects on camera.
Instead: Try solids, subtle textures, classic patterns, or layers that add interest without taking over the photo.

3. Neon // Overly Bright Colors
Super-bright colors can reflect onto your skin, especially during outdoor sessions, and can be difficult to balance with natural light.
Instead: Think rich neutrals, denim, soft blues, sage, earthy tones, dusty rose, warm browns, and other colors that complement a Midwest setting.

The goal? Choose outfits that feel like you, photograph beautifully, and give us plenty of options throughout your session.

Save this for when you start planning your senior wardrobe.

Some trends come and go… but this one felt worth joining.

Maybe it’s kinda chic to slow down.
To put the phone away and actually be in the moment.
To make photographs that feel like memories, not content.
To laugh until your cheeks hurt.
To dance in the kitchen.
To hold onto the little moments you know you’ll miss someday.

Maybe it’s kinda chic to stop worrying about perfect poses and start chasing the real stuff: the movement, the laughter, the connection, the moments that feel like you.

Because years from now, I don’t want you to just remember what your wedding day looked like.

I want you to remember how it felt.

Maybe the coolest thing you can do is stop chasing what’s trending and start creating something that will still mean everything to you years from now.

So… what do you think is kinda chic?

She showed up with a little bit of nervous energy, a favorite outfit, and that feeling of, “Wait… how is this really happening already?”

Somewhere between the first few photos and the last bit of golden light, she forgot about the camera.

She laughed. She twirled. She walked barefoot through the grass. She talked about what comes next, and everything she’s leaving behind.

And for a little while, we got to freeze this strange, beautiful in-between.

Not quite a kid anymore.
Not quite sure what’s next.
But completely, wonderfully herself.

That’s my favorite part of senior sessions.

Not just capturing what she looks like at 17 or 18, but capturing who she is right now: the laugh, the confidence, the little quirks, the dreams, and all the things that make her unmistakably her.

Because someday, she’ll look back at these photographs and realize just how much was waiting for her.

But for today?

She’s right here. And she’s pretty incredible. ♡ .sue
