Day one of my trip to Colorado, I went to Rocky Mountain National Park, saw some great views and wildlife. An amazing place to go to with your camera.

Last night I was able to witness one of the greatest natural events in North America, The Sandhill Crane Migration. This event happens between late February to early April. Thousands of cranes take a pitstop to feed at the Platte River so they could stock up on nutrients and fly to their nesting grounds up north, as far as the Siberian peninsula.

Third and final day of my trip in South Dakota. I returned to Canyon Lake Park to see some of the migrating water fowl. The main thing was going to Black Hills National forest. I didn't see a lot of wildlife but I did get to see the hilltops with frosted ponderosa trees. To close the day I had a brief visit to the Crazy Horse Memorial. All in All this was a really good trip.

Day Two of traveling South Dakota. Today, I hiked in the Skyline Wilderness Area, saw some birds migrating for the season, and finished it off by visiting Badlands National Park for the second time. The Badlands still look great as they did the last time I visited, with amazing wildlife and landscapes.

Day one of my journey through the western area of South Dakota. Drove through the Sandhills and made it to Rapid City, not without taking a few good pictures of the prairie and of East Twin Lake.
