Parents, I need you to know something before you book family photos:

Your kids do NOT have to behave perfectly. Actually, I don't expect them to.

They're kids. They're going to run. They're going to wiggle. They're going to get distracted. Some might refuse to smile. Others might decide they suddenly don't want to hold hands.

And that's okay.

Some of my favorite family photographs happen in the moments when we're not trying so hard to make everyone behave.

So please don't wait until your kids are “easier.” Don't wait until they sit still.

They're growing right now.

Let's photograph them exactly as they are. ❤️

“We're so awkward in pictures.” I hear this all the time. And here's the thing...

You don't have to know how to take pictures to have beautiful pictures.

That's my job.

You don't need to know how to pose or where to put your hands. You don't even need to know what to do with your face when a camera is pointed at you.

I'll guide you through it.

We'll walk. We'll talk. We'll laugh. I'll give you prompts that get you interacting instead of just staring at my camera.

Over the past 10 years I’ve had the joy of capturing so many moments for your families. what I love most about being your photographer is giving you the opportunity to get out from behind your phone camera, where you document the everyday moments. In front of my camera, you get to relax and be part of the photos you’ll look back on for years to come.

I love photographing people because seasons change so quickly. Kids grow, relationships evolve, and the small moments we think we’ll always remember slowly fade from our memory.

My goal isn’t to just give you beautiful photos. It’s to transport you back to how beautiful this season of life feels.

You (the client) are in charge of how much of your gallery, family, and faces are shown on my website and social media. If I’ve shared an image of you or your child in the past that you are no longer comfortable having online, message me and I’ll remove it!

These photographs are YOUR memories and your loved ones first, for my portfolio second. Your family, your photos, your choice.

Happy belated first anniversary to my best friend Yessenia and her husband! These two are a beautiful couple and they have created an even more beautiful life and family together.

This was their first time having professional family photos taken, and it means so much to me to be part of their story in capturing these memories.

Fall will be here before we know it! These dear maternity photos are from last years fall sessions and I'm already looking forward to creating more beautiful memories like these this year. If you've been waiting for the perfect time to update those family photos, your time is coming.

I'm planning to offer Fall mini sessions again in October and November and I want your input: my current availability is Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings; which day would work best for YOUR family? Your responses will help me choose the dates that work best for most families.

Newborn cuddles, sleepy little details, and… Taco Bell. 😂🌮

Last month I got to photograph this sweet baby. I love that my job is to capture sweet little details of your favorite people. Capturing the tiny moments you’ll swear you’ll never forget (but will be SO grateful to have photographed).

… and then there’s me behind the scenes, between session and gallery delivery: backpack full with props and camera gear, hands full of photographer fuel. 🌮

This is my reminder to you guys to document your yearly family photos. Take pictures constantly so you have pictures to look back on when you tell stories. 📸

My little family and I went to Colorado last week for my husband’s best friend’s wedding! My brother came along with us to join in on the fun while Zach did best man duties - which included a leaking tire, getting the tires changed on a Sunday, and taking the train through the city to go to the Children’s Museum. The day after the wedding we spent a couple hours hiking in beautiful Evergreen, CO.
