Lover of turquoise, dogs and anything that will satisfy my sweet tooth - I can blame my Grandma for that one. Growing up on a small cow-calf operation in southern Minnesota I always imagined myself growing up to be a large animal veterinarian. I even rode along with my local vet from the time I was nine into high school. Fast-forward a few years to my time at South Dakota State (go big, go blue, g

o jacks) and you’ll find me, sitting in a classroom, realizing how much I hate chemistry. I took a communications class and realized I had found what I loved. I loved all of it; the storytelling, the design, the creative freedom and the photography. Looking back on my childhood, I think everyone knew deep down I was meant to do something more creative. Soon after that realization, Kendra Marie Photography and Design was born. Today, I live in Pella, Iowa - home of Tulip Time, cobblestone streets and the nicest people you’ll meet - with my corgi, Hartley. We enjoy long walks in the park, collecting (way too many) plants and exploring when we can. Interested in working with me? I’d love to know more.

A few fun facts about Kjersta and David's big day:

1. They didn't let a little (a lot) of rain get them down at the beginning of the day.
2. Photos with cows were a MUST. And I'm all for it.
3. They're biggest concern of the day was getting married and celebrating with the ones they love the most - and there was plenty of love to go around.
