Yesterday I decided to recreate this selfie. Looking at both pics I can see the growth that has occurred (not just with choosing to have facial hair).
Younger me was confident but very worried. We were in the middle of a major life change and at a very hard point financially as a result. The selfie was taken when I got my first big client after restarting my business. It wasn’t just any client, it was a client we prayed hard for and that we absolutely needed to sign to have what we needed. It was the start of really seeing Jehovah God’s blessing on the business and a reminder of his promise to care for our needs - as I was still a little uncertain if I was making the right choice for my family going full time with little savings after losing a stable job essentially overnight due to the effects of COVID.
Since then there has been much growth as a man, a husband, a father and business owner. The business underwent major changes since then and has really developed into something wonderful. Something that consistently provides for our family when at first we barely knew if anything would come in at all.
It has become stronger and more grounded, and moves more purposefully. This year is proving to be its strongest year yet and the network and the relationships that has been from it as a result is the best part. I have become much more confident , and while there are still sleepless nights sometimes as a business owner when you’re trying to figure things out, I never doubt that we’ll have what we need because it has been proven time and again over the past 3 years or so that every will always work out.
