Though I am still in social media hiatus, let me leave these beautiful wedding photo details from Jessica and Kevin’s wedding. If I were to describe this wedding, it would be simple, endearing and intimate. Jessica made it a point to include her grandparents for a first look on her wedding dress and everything is just felt in the moment and that in itself is beautiful.

Weddings are beautiful but you know what’s more beautiful than that? Marriage. And what makes a marriage beautiful? When two people are in it with God. Cliché? I know but truth be told that the most cliché-iest things in this world is one that’s pure of love and love is God.

There is something truly heartwarming about Baptism—a sacred moment where God’s grace is poured out in a profound and life-changing way.

In Filipino Catholic culture, having multiple godparents is a beautiful tradition, one that I experienced myself. When I moved to the U.S., I was surprised to learn that this wasn’t the norm. It made me reflect deeply on the role of godparents in our children’s lives—not just as honorary figures but as true spiritual guides, entrusted with helping nurture their faith. They are, in a way, the “guardians of the soul,” a role not to be taken lightly.

Many saints have spoken about the incredible significance of Baptism. St. Gregory Nazianzen called it “God’s most beautiful and magnificent gift”—a gift given freely, requiring nothing in return. And truly, witnessing a Baptism, I can feel the grace of God radiating through the child, a reminder that this sacrament is more than a ritual; it is a divine transformation, a new beginning in Christ.

Forgive me for not introducing myself since who even knows when?!

I’m Rikka Kate—your goofy, practical, low-maintenance friend with two wild little boys who keep me on my toes and a husband, Kris, who not only does the same but also makes me laugh so hard I literally fart (true love, right?).

I’ve been a photographer since 2018, and my heart beats for film photography—and get this—film videography too! (Footage dropping super soon, so stay tuned!)

Before settling here in Jax, we hopped around—first NY (where I met Kris), then CT, and now here in Florida. Over the past almost seven years, I’ve photographed weddings, families, and events, and let me tell you—I haven’t gotten tired of it one bit! The learning never stops, and the passion just keeps growing.
