I’m loving these dramatic, moody, nostalgic portraits—they feel straight out of an old detective series or classic Hollywood film noir.

Allen came in with a very clear vision of what he wanted, and together we shaped it through light, shadow, and stillness. He’s one hell of an actor, fully inhabiting the character rather than posing for the camera.

This kind of collaboration is where the magic lives—and it was an absolute blast to create.

Humbling news today that one of my images was selected for exhibit at the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum in the Vision and Viewpoint collection. My image is below titled "The Visitor", but check out some of the others in this collection...Wow, just wow, some amazing artists and so thankful mine was included.

This young man approached me about a portrait. I asked him about his life and to describe himself. 30 years in the military and he wanted something for his wife. I really wanted to capture "him" as he saw himself and how his wife and friends see him. We all have many faces in life, he and I were happy with these captures.
