A look behind the horror.

I recently had the chance to attend A Petrified Forest’s 2026 Media Day, getting an inside look at what goes into bringing this year’s event to life.

From the brand-new trails and immersive environments to the characters, costumes, makeup, and production that make the scares happen, there’s SO much more that goes into a haunted attraction than what you see as a guest.

This year features three completely new trails. Drawn to Death, The Craving, and Last Responders, plus experiences like Psychosis that take the concept of a haunted attraction in a very different direction. 👀

I got to see a little bit of everything during Media Day, and I’ll be sharing more of the behind-the-scenes details soon!

For now, here’s a little glimpse at what I got to experience. 📸
