So is looking for a new (Chief Experience Officer) to travel to national parks and take pictures and such, so this is my application post. Some of you have seen me post this before but there is a special reason why I'm using this photo I took for the application.
My fiancee and I went on a roadtrip to Pennsylvania to visit our friends who were getting married. We drove from Orlando, Fl to West Chester, PA in our 2008 Nissan Versa. We took a pit stop on our way in Perry, Georgia to visit another friend. It was mostly fields and a Walmart.
We left Perry, and continued our journey to PA. About 10hrs before the wedding we decided we had enough time to visit the Capital in D.C. We saw the Lincoln Memorial and the White House (even though it took us forever to find), but we left and it was rush hour. We got to the wedding, had fun, drove to New Jersey to see my family and then called it a trip and started driving back to Florida.
The way back was just roads and trees, nice scenery, but we didn't stop anywhere.
THEN!!! At 1am in the morning while driving, I saw a sign for Myrtle Beach, SC and looked at my fiancee and said "wanna take a 3hr detour so I can take a picture of a beautiful sunrise on the beach?" Obviously she said yes because she loves random adventures! We waited on the cold sand for the sunrise and I was not disappointed! I walked into the water to take some shots, this one included and my feet were practically frozen! But the moment the sun peaked over the horizon and hit my eyes, there was a moment of joy and awe that this happens everyday and I got to see it on that day. That's why I do photography, to capture the quintessential of life and share it with those who can't be where I am.
This is the story behind the picture. A journey, a detour, and a great adventure that would hopefully get me the job as for
