Gosh, this St. Augustine elopement was gorgeee.

B+A spent the day getting ready in this quaint AirBnB near downtown St. Augustine with a first look on the wide airy front porch. For their ceremony, we headed to one of my favorite places near the coast: Washington Oaks Garden State Park. This location brings garden and beach vibes together in one place! They celebrated their vows with a CrĆØme De La Cocoa cake by the Lightner Fountains, exploring little nooks of St. George Street, and ending with golden hour portraits by the Castillo De San Marcos before heading to dinner with friends and family!

All in all, this was a 10 out of 10 day and I can’t wait to share more of these images with you!!

Save this post for later if you’re looking for some inspo for when you elope in St. Augustine šŸ«¶šŸ»

After today’s sunrise elopement in Cocoa Beach, I was driving down A1A and saw these signs for sourdough so naturally my interest was officially piqued.

I’m a sucker for anything sourdough and homemade so I had to stop in! And it was 10/10 worth it!

is a Melbourne Beach cottage bakery that sells their sourdough baked goods out of their garage. Not only is it CUTE, but the goods outshine the design.

They’re only open on Saturday (SO glad I was in town on a Saturday!!), but you can pre-order if you’re in town! I also LOVED the little card for how to take care of your sourdough so you can extend the freshness šŸ˜

They have over a dozen variations of sourdough from French toast to jalapeño cheddar to cinnamon raisin. I opted for the plain and jalapeño cheddar 🤤

But what really got me were the chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls šŸ˜ Because even when I’m selfishly picking up loaves of bread, I’m always thinking about how these little gems could bring so much fun and uniqueness to my couples’ elopement days!!

And honestly, what better way to celebrate your Melbourne (or Space Coast) elopement than with locally made desserts?! šŸ˜

Clearly, I couldn’t even wait to get home before trying one. My only regret was not having milk at the ready!

This day is one of my favorite elopement stories for a few different reasons…but one you may not suspect.

Tyler and Kris’s day included SO many fun adventures šŸ›„ļøšŸš™šŸøšŸ•, but was mainly focused on getting married just the two of them on a private catamaran! They were inspired by another catamaran elopement I had captured a few years ago and had their heart set on getting married on the water.

And from looking at these photos, you’d never know that the plan almost didn’t happen. A few days before their elopement, the boat wanted to cancel based on the ā€œunfavorableā€ weather conditions. But it’s not uncommon for Florida to change the weather forecast on a dime so canceling a few days out? Not on my watch 🫔

After giving some guidance to T+K on how to handle the situation, what questions to ask, and what to say, the company decided not to cancel, play the weather by ear closer to their elopement date (šŸŽ‰), and they ended having the day of their dreams. šŸ˜

It’s goes to show you that hiring an elopement expert in the area you want to elope can be the difference between your dream elopement day and a wedding day you settled for. šŸ’ƒšŸ’ƒšŸ’ƒ

I can’t wait to share more of this day with all of you! We had such fun time exploring every part of Key West!

As a Florida elopement photographer, I’m on a perpetual mission to try ALLL the food and drink places I recommend to my couples on their elopement day...

And Cookiebird Ice Cream Bar () in St. Augustine made the dessert list for my St. Augustine Elopement Guide šŸŽ‰

I originally found this place through TikTok and knew that I needed to visit on my next trip to St. Augustine. Some friends were visiting from New England and I knew that I had to take them here. So we made the trek by foot from the south end of St. George (a little far if you’re not wanting to walk, but totally doable) and it was well worth it!

What I love about this place:

šŸ¦ Well designed indoor bar for vintage-inspired date night vibes (with greattt natural lighting)
šŸ¦ Cute outdoor patio area with pink umbrellas and stone tables
šŸ¦ Unique special flavor ice creams like pineapple (🤤) that I had on this particular day
šŸ¦ The baby bird cone my husband got for those that only want a taste (it was the cutest little cone and I’m so mad I didn’t get a picture of it)
šŸ¦ Close-ish to St. George Street and a trolley pick up area, but less than a third of a mile to Spinster Abbotts another fun, vintage stop on your elopement day!

So if you’re thinking about eloping in St. Augustine and want a cuteee spot for ice cream (a great swap for cutting the cake), then this place is top of the list!

Anddd if you’re thinking about eloping in Florida and craving a foodie’s insider knowledge about the best places to go, stick around because we loveee finding the best food and drink spots ā€˜round here!

When it comes to eloping in Key West, there are a few required elements: sun, water, and cocktails.

Kara and Maison checked each of these boxes with their elopement day. From a first look in front of their luxe Stock Island accommodation, to their private vows by the pool, to their Fort Zachary Taylor State Park ceremony, to their sunset sailboat booze cruise with their best friends, to the night cap at The Roost (my FAVE cocktail bar on the island, btw)…this day was beyond perfect.

I can’t wait to blog this day so you can see how it unfolded šŸ˜

One of my favorite micro adventures for couples eloping in Key West is to staple a dollar bill at one of Duval’s iconic bars!

It’s like leaving your mark on Key West and super fun to come back to on your next trip!

Looking for the best places to elope in Florida, but the beach just isn’t your vibe? 😬

Most people think eloping in Florida means having a beach ceremony. But if the thought of windblown hair, sand in your shoes, and a crowded beach makes you cringe, then these locations might be exactly what you’re looking for!

As a Florida elopement photographer, I’ve captured dozens of elopements across the state. Everywhere from the Panhandle down to the Florida Keys.

With all that travel experience and local expertise, finding unique places to elope in Florida is one of the best parts of the job.

Whether you want to get married in a tropical oasis like Key West, at one of Florida’s springs, or even cruising on a yacht, Florida has so many non-beach options that still feel like an adventure.

Many of my eloping couples start their wedding planning journey the same: by planning a huge wedding.

It’s not until they get overwhelmed by the planning or the price tag that they take to Google to find wedding alternatives and stumble upon all the adventures my couples have had on their wedding days.

That’s when it clicks and you think to yourself: ā€œyes, this is exactly what I’ve been searching for!!ā€

A day with all (or none of) the traditional elements of a wedding, but an adventure that follows that feels like the most epic date night of your lives…all with my help.

My one piece of advice is when you reach that point in your life when you’re planning your wedding, I hope you remember this: your day can look however YOU want it to. There are no rules.
